“No desarrollen apego a Este cuerpo”
22. Madhura nagara
22. Madhuranagara
IT is festival, everyday here; at the Prashaanthi Nilayam, it is year-roundDashara. But, yet, to
showthat it is desirable to value traditionandobserveancient andwell-establishedrites, this
festival is celebratedat this place. Whenthe fruit grows it is filledwith sweetness. Eventhe
margosa fruit loses its bitterness andturns sweet, when it ripens. So, too, theultimate destinyof
man, howeverhardor bitter he may be now, is to ripenandturnsweet. Everyone will shed
bitterness andturn sweet; there is no doubt. The Madhura taste will then win forthemthe Lord
of Madhura (Krishna).
I am not veryhappywhen I hoist this Prashaanthi Flagon this Building; I will be happy only
when each one of youhoists it andkeep it flying, onthe mansionof your heart.Thenonly can
youenjoy peace, content andpurity. Growthe twin wings of Love andFaith; thenyoucansoar
freely 'in thesky of the Lord's Grace.
Youcan see the Lordonlythrough His wonders. His laws are unique andmysterious; themis no
use arguingabout them, for experience is the only proofof theirreality. Youtaste them,
therefore they arereal. Donot spendyour intelligence in devisingcrookedqueries. The mystery
of Avathaar is beyondthe reach ofintelligence. It can be graspedonly by means of genuine
faith. It cannot be reachedby logic; the karmendhriyas andthe jnaanendhriyas (sense organs of
action andperception)are useless instruments; for thebody, mind, intelligence all are ofthe
category,"Seen,"but not ofthe category, "Seer."To see the Seer, the innervisionhas tobe
cultivated. So longas youfeel youare separate, youcannot see the whole. Vyakthi (individual)
can never see the Shakthi (Supreme Power).
sentido.
Attachment toany bodyis notdesirable
When the Lordappears in person, eventhen, doubt assails. It is of the verynature ofthings! I
utter no meaningless word, I do no purposeless deed. I plan nosignificanceless action, I never
engage in unholy activities.I havenothingthat I need. My joyconsists in fulfillingyour aims, in
makingyoureachthe goal. The one thingthat I ask for is the Love filledHeart. Believe; hold
fast, without entanglingyourselves in a mesh of emptyexplanations andimaginaryarguments;
that is theway to profit.
netra.
Do not develop attachment tothis body. Why, attachment to any body is not desirable. This hand
gives youthings, but, My Handis that which creates all this. That is My Body.My coupe is
unique, different from all that youknow. I do not identifyMyself with anything. Ice is water,
water is ice. Sagunais Nirguna, Nirguna is this Saguna. Youmayfall intothe quagmire of
doubt: "Raama came, Krishna came, Sai Baaba came, this Puttaparthi Sai Baaba comes and
challengingly declares that He is all These!Howcan this be?" Youcan never understandthis
phenomenon. That is the undestandingyouneed. I am incomprehensible.Youwill see the world
cominghere in about a year ortwo. Rememberthat, in noprevious Yugadidthe people get so
many clear intimations ofthe natureof Avathaar as now; youare indeedfortunate. The Lord's
Form can be perceivedonlyby means of the eye of prema orthe eyeof jnaanaor the eye of
yoga, not theeye ofsensual activity, the Karmanethra.
oportunidad de ver, tocar y conversar con el Avatār del Señor. Los Avatares no son diez;
The Lord is interested in your keepingthe heart pure
The Kaliyuga is, in reality, veryholy; youtooare veryfortunate.Youhave the chance tosee,
touch andconverse with, theAvathaar ofthe Lord. TheAvathaars are not ten; there arevery
many in number. Youmust distinguish between those who are bornas parts of Divinity,as
imbued with the Divine Essence, as messengers of DivineMission,as instruments of DivineWill
4. andPurpose, and Avathaars. Parashuraama is not an Avathaar in the realsense. The Avathaars
that have come andgone have all cut down trees because they arewhite-ant infested: but, this
Avathaar is different andunique. Now, the white-ants are removed, thetree is saved, protected,
fosteredandencouragedtogrow. I am not inclinedto punish; I am the goldsmithwho repairs
andre-shapes broken ornaments.Raama came as the embodiment of Sathya, Dharmaand
Shaanthi (truth, virtue andpeace); Krishna came as the personification of Prema(Love); now,
the Embodiment ofall theFour is needed, for,at thepresent time, knowledge has increased
beyondthe capacityof character.
Youcannot realise howmuch the Lordfeels foryour sake. His concernis overyour wanton-ness
andwilful disregard of His words, for He is interestedin your keepingyourhearts pure and
unblemished. I am very anxious to makeyouall reachthe goal. Mytask is to purifyyour hearts.
If youengage yourself in the constant meditation ofthe Name ofthe Lord, with devotion,
humility andfaith, the Lordwill stun, dat the door of your Puujaroom, awaitingyourwish.
Only, youshouldnot allowyour mindtowaver. Genuine yearningwill make your heart pure.
What is important foryouis your own experience. What is your basis for understandingthe
Divine? It is your own Aanandha (bliss), felt andtastedby you. Yousay,He savedone
Dhroupadhi fromignominy, one Ahalya from petrification, one Prahlaadhafrom torture, one
Gajendra from death; but, do youknowhowmanymore such have been blessedsimilarly,
through Grace? Thestreamof Grace is ever flowingfast andfull; that Grace has nolimit. But,
yousee it as limitedonly.
The three activities of the Lord
I have come nowwith the limitations that youneed. The Lord's activities are three: Creation,
PreservationandDissolution. They arethe characteristic attributes ofthe Lord. His aims are all
Saathwik (pious) forthe protection ofthe World, thewelfare of theWorld. Myexultation is
Mine, My promptingis Mine. I will never abide by another's likes or dislikes. I do not payheed
to such. I am that which is the Witness of everyoneandeverything. All are in my Control; then,
who can tell Me what todo? In a fewyears, years that canbe countedon one's fingers, all of you
will realise, that I am the embodiment of all Shakthis (powers). The wise, the inquiringandthe
sufferingwill gather here from all parts of. theworld. Have thefixity of hold; say, "Whether I
succeedin gettingfromyouthe external fruit ornot,I shall never give up."Do not get dejected
when sufferingcomes andestrange yourselffrom theLord, blamingHim for it. Theloss will be
yours andthe repentancewill be agonising.
Tú no tienes Hambre.
No
Youhave no hunger. Ifyouhave genuine hunger I will not keepyousufferingfromit. Churnthe
mindandcollect the butterandmelt it in theyearningof the heart.Whenthe butter has not
melted, thereasonis, the warmthof the yearningis insufficient.
I do not appreciate your extollingMe, describingMy glory. State thefacts. That produces joy. It
is sacrilege to state moreor less. Demandfrom Me as of fight, the removalof your sufferings.
Give me your heart andask for MyHeart; if yougive Me onlyyour word, youwill get only a
word in return. I give youjust what youask for, remember!
bien, para el progreso de su devoción. Si el sufrimiento concedido, buscaran Śānti (paz);
Tengan cuidado.
Sweetness cannotarise withoutsuffering.
When sufferings come, why do youestrange yourselves fromthe Lord? He gives yousuffering,
for your good, forthe advancement of your devotion. Ifsufferingis granted, youseek Shaanthi;
yousearch for the knowledge of the mystery; yougo to tenpersons andthey each tell yousome
aspect of the truth.Without suffering, sweetness cannot arise! Whenyousuffer, if youfeel, "The
Lordis no longer mine"andstray away, the Lordtoowill declare, "He is no longer Mine!"
Beware.
dejen arrastrar dentro de un pantano, por otros. El Señor nunca se desviará de la palabra;
Whereveryouare, when youwholeheartedly seek to do namaskaaram (obeisance) toMe,My
Feet are there, before you! Sarvathahpaani paadhah---"Hands andfeet everywhere," it has been
announced. "Lord, do younot hear Myprayer?"if youfeel poignantly, MyEars are there!"Don't
yousee, O Lord?" if youcry out, Myeyes are there that instant.Raama,Krishna,Shirdi Sai, This
Sathya Sai Baaba; that Formis so, this Form is thus--whyall such misgivings anddoubts? The
body is the same, only thedress worn is different. Donot be ledaway intothe morass, by others.
The Lordwill never deviate from theword; it maybe that youtake Me to mean somethingelse.
It is My will that happens always; it is My Sankalpathat is beingworkedout at all times.
Sankalpas are ofthree different types:' Yochana sankalpas, the decisionarrivedat after long
deliberation; Mananasankalpa, the decisiontaken after the desire to do arises; and Swasankalpa,
where the wish andthe fulfilment arelike the soundof'the shot andthehittingthe target, both
happeningat the same instant.
Naamasmaranashould becomeautomatic as breathing
Do not slander orabuse others or your own selves,as weak, sinful wickedor low; when youdo
so, youare slanderingor abusingMe, who resides in themandyou. All are of the DivineNature
of the Aathma; all are pure andholy. Some might haveerredin usingtheintelligence and
discrimination whichthe Lordhas given andso might havebeen guilty of"mistakes"; theyare
not therefore,"sinful." Tocondemnoneself as "Paapoham paapasambhavah,"(I am a sinner
born of sin) is' itself the direst paapa(sin)! Use your intelligence and marchon, puttingone
milestoneafter anotherbehindyou! Practise Naamasmarana (remembrance ofLord's name)
steadily so that it becomes as automatic andas necessary as breathing. Of what benefit is it tobe
in the same stage of saadhanafor ever? Take the Formyoulike, the Name youlove anddo
japam anddhyaanam andnoevil thought will arise; wickedthoughts will flee. Whentheyhave
fled, what remains is the Aathmaswaruupa.
Youmust leadyour lives, accordingto Mywords, without the slightest modification. First have
faith, thenthe experience is granted. Even in thecase of the previous Avathaars, that is theorder
of events,is it not? Youworshipwith faithandyouexperience Grace.Faithresults in Grace,
without your beingaware of it.Youmust take in the medicine I give andalso followthe diet I
prescribe andavoidthethings I prohibit.
Siempre actúo, con calma. Nunca a prisa.
siquiera puedes reconocerla mucho menos alcanzarla.
I always act, calmly. I never hurry. I do say, "Let it be so" toevery request of yours. Youhave
come intothis worldto reach theLord. Ignorant of that purpose, youhave hoistedon your head
the weight of Illusion andyouare strugglingto unloadit, sufferingunder its weight. What is the
use of runningafter external pleasures andtemporaryjoy? So longas youare caught in this
Avidhya (ignorance) youcan nevertaste theBliss of Realisation;youcannot evenrecognise it
much less attain it. But if youare patient andcalm, I shall grant youjoywithout fail. Do not
yieldto despair. Eventhe infant lotus buds will bloom, in their own goodtime. By the
cumulative effect of the gooddone in manyprevious births, youhave securedthis fortune; you
do not knowhowmuch youhavegone through, but, I know! And, whetheryouknow or not, I
shall certainlygive youyour need.
Do not treatthe bodywith contempt
Youget the 'body' through the karmaof thepast; youget the'typeof character' accordingtothe
vaasanas (tendencies) cultivatedin the past. The body is theresult of Praarabdhakarma (tobe
8. exhaustedin thepresent life); the gunais theproduct ofSanchitha karma (whichis storedto
experiencedin future lives). Donot delude yourselfthat youare the body, orbe fascinatedinto
an attachment for it. But, it is your tasktoguardit fromharm andkeep it in goodtrim. For,is it
not with it that youare imbibingthe exhilarationof the Bliss of the Lord, the Majestyofthe
Lord? Therefore, do not deride the body ortreat it with contempt. That equipment is intendedfor
your journey towards the Lord; it is thechariot ofthe Lord; do not neglect orkeepit in disrepair.
"Oh, this is my fate, myown past punishingme, I must go through it andsuffer it,I cannot
escape it;" thugpeople get disheartened. If it is so inescapable, what is theuse of prayer, of
japam,of meditation, orof the ritual ofworship?Winthe Grace of theLord---andall the
accumulatedburden will be burnt into ashes in a moment! Whyblame the Lordforthe "writing
on your forehead?"It is youwho write thereandit is youwho must wipe out thescript. The evil
youdo, writes; the goodyoudo, wipes! Let your minddwell on theLord, andthemist of the
past births will melt before the rays of that sunrise; if youdo not project those rays, the mist will
thickeninto darkness.
Never deprive yourself ofthe joyin store
While in the previous body, I hadsaid, "I will come again aftereight years." Dikshithhas written
it down, as if I said, I will appear as an eight-year-old! That is a mistake. Havingcast offthat
body on the Vijayadhashami Day, 1918,I grantedactual concrete darshan off andontovarious
bhakthas duringabout six years.Once,I appearedbefore Abdul Baaba andtoldhim, '"The body
has been disposedoff; but, who can dispose Me off?."I hadrevealedtoAbdul Baaba the news of
My comingAdvent. But, do not waste your timein arguments about the identity, whether This is
He or He couldbe This! Believe onlyas much as youhaveknown; neverdeny thejoy youhave
derivedor deprive yourselves of the joyin store.
alfabeto, ¿Cuándo podrás aprender a escribir y a leer palabras y frases?
No
Worship, offerings, incense, wavingof lights--these areall preliminarysteps, the first fewrungs
in the ladder. If youare everon the alphabet, whenare youtolearn to spell andreadwords and
sentences? Does the Lordneedthe things you:offer?Does He require articles of comfort or
luxury? No, it is youwho needthem!Does He live uponthe foodyou place before Him?
Remember, it is the person who goes beyondthe externals, that wins the victory. The Lordis not
pleasedwith externals; He searches for the feelings, theinternal urges. I do not want the flowers
andfruits andthe miscellaneous packets that youbringin your hands when youcome to Me.
Come with your hands empty, saying"What canI give Youwhich has not come from You
Yourself? WhenYougave me this heart, it was clean andpure; now, afterpreparingin that
vessel the foodforlife so far lived, I am offeringit toYou, as cleanandas pure as when You
gave it to me, afterremovingall traces ofthe vaasanas or smells ofthe things cookedin it."Say
that, andofferthat heart.
y toyam (hoja, flor, fruta y agua)?

nityam y satyam."
Youare indeedmore fortunate thanthe Rishis, the vaanaras andthe gopees Your chances are
greater; youget darshan, sparshan andsambhaashana(seeing, touchingandconversing), all
three. Therefore,do not ask, for thefulfilment ofpaltrydesires; ask, "Make me eternal, absolute,
Nithyam andSathyam."

juego, recuerda!
