1.- C. difficile es un colonizador frecuente, y el
estado de portador no debe ser buscado.
2.- La incidencia de CDI oscila entre 7 y 15
episodios/10.000 días de estancia hospitalaria.
3.- El diagnóstico puede hacerse y confirmarse
en menos de 2 horas en el laboratorio de
Microbiología, pero los resultados tienen que
interpretarse con cuidado.

4.- las manifestaciones clínicas pueden ir más
allá que la diarrea.
5.- La actividad de las toxinas es el mecanismo
patogénico principal y su bloqueo con Acs
monoclonales es muy prometedor.
6.- El tratamiento de elección de formas graves
es Vancomicina o Fidaxomicina.
7.- La reposición de microbioma normal es ya una
clara alternativa terapéutica que evoluciona
rápidamente.
